Southern California Delights

I just got back from Southern California.  I had a great time with a few highlights that continue to linger in my mind ....

Laguna Beach, Pageant of the Masters~ and the theme this year, near and dear to my heart, "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry" (I can do that!)

Carpinteria, Rose Story Farm~ I learned the story behind Julia Child's Rose, she took one look at this rose and said that is my rose- BUTTER AND EGG YOLKS! One of my new favorite, I hope I can grow it successfully in Georgia.

San Diego, Extraordinary Desserts by Karen Krasne~ the source of many birthday cakes including this month's Sweet 16th  birthday. (Okay, so when we picked up the birthday cake we had a little snack.  The place is candy for the eyes and stomach.)

Travel and inspiration~time to get back into the kitchen.
